Take a Screenshot

Another way to save images from most apps or websites on your phone is to take a screenshot. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons on your phone to take a screenshot. You'll normally see a message that the image has been successfully captured and may hear a sound effect as well if your volume is up.

The screenshot will be stored in your gallery, often in a folder called Screenshots. The screenshot may include part of your web browser or the Pinterest app, so you may want to crop out these unnecessary elements before using the picture for anything.

Note that the screenshot image may be lower resolution than the initial image you are attempting to make a copy of, so it's often better to download or otherwise obtain the original photo if you can.

You can use reverse image search tools like Google Image Search or TinEye to look for other places the image appeared online to find its origin.

Older images can lose copyright status and enter the public domain, but this takes many decades. If you're not sure who owns an image or if it's copyrighted, it's generally best to assume that it is.
