After you upgrade your computer to Windows 10, if your Microsoft Game Controller Drivers are not working, you can fix the problem by updating the drivers. It is possible that your Game Controller driver is not compatible with the newer version of Windows.

• Install Xbox 360 Controller Driver Windows 10

When you connect an Xbox Wireless Controller to your Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 PC with a micro-USB cable, Windows will automatically download and install the drivers for the controller. But win 10 was simply plug n play and i did not have to install anything as it is natively supported. If it is not working it is likely a motherboard port issue rather than the windows driver for the controller. But you could get the driver and manually install it if you wish to try that.
