May 30, 2014 - Hi, I'm having a problem installing a wired 360 controller to my windows 7. 7 when the drivers for my Xbox 360 controller kept failing to install. But Sometimes Maybe Your Xbox 360 controller will not work on Windows 10 or You have to update drivers for a wireless receiver. 1) First Open the Device Manager. You can retrieve Device manager by clicking on Windows Key + X and Select Device Manager from the list which is display on the screen.

When you plug in the Microsoft Xbox 360 Afterglow controller, it used to update the drivers automatically. I recently formatted my hard drive and re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, and the drivers didn't automatically update for my controller. Not a big problem, since Microsoft usually has all of their drivers up to download for free, but it seems they took away the driver for the Afterglow controller - I can't find it anywhere.
